ENGLISH TYPISTS’ (BASIC GRADE) RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION, 2010

ADVERTISEMENT NO. 6/2010

Application are invited for the post of English Typists' (Basic Grade) Recruitment Examination, 2010 to be conducted by the Public Service Commission, West Bengal for recruitment to the vacant posts of English Typists in the West Bengal Secretariats, Directorates and in the Govt. offices of the districts under the rule making power of the Govt. of West Bengal. All appointments will initially be made on a temporary basis.

The English Typists’ (Basic Grade) Recruitment Examination, 2010 shall be held in two successive stages viz. (1) Preliminary Examination (Objective type) and (2) Main Examination (Type test). The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. It will be held simultaneously in Kolkata and other District Centres over the State. The Main Examination will be held in Kolkata centre only.

Qualification: 10th Pass, Basic Knowledge of Computer, ability to transcribe at the rate of 30 words per minute to be tested by the Commission at the Main Examination & ability to read, write and speak in bengali.

Age: Not less than 18 yrs and not more than 37 yrs.
