The National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya is being established as an Institution of National Importance, with funding from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The academic activities of the institute shall be started in Shillong at the Bijni Complex of NEHU in the city from July, 2012.

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals possessing requisite academic qualifications and experience, with commitment to work and an inclination towards institutional development, for the position of Registrar on contract/deputation basis up to a period of 5 years.

Last Date: 30th January 2012.

Scale of Pay: PB4 + AG Rs. 10000/-

Upper Age Limit: 57 Years.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Essentials:

i. Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or it’s equivalent CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or a grade of B in the UGC seven point scale from a recognized University/ institute or first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent grade.

ii. At least 15 years of experience as officer in technical management/ administrative/ academic including educational administration/ R&D institution/ Central/ State Govt./ PSU or Autonomous organization or Major industry of which at least 5 years should be as Deputy Registrar in GP of Rs.8700/- or an equivalent post.

Desirable:

i. Possessing qualification in the field of Management/ Engineering/ Law.

ii. Experience in handling computerized administration/ legal/ financial/ establishment matters.
